VARSITY 2007

Huge congrats go out to the 1st team who put in a superb performance against Hallam in Varsity, unlucky to lose 2-1. It was a great performance by all involved with our goal coming from top scorer Hanya. The match has been given a mention on the fair game website so check it out!

As most of you are aware, Varsity XI is approaching us.

On the 21st of March, at 1pm at Norton playing fields (where we normally play - Warminster Road) the belles that are SUWFC firsts will take on the Hallam scum (Hallam "University", our city rivals, poly-technic counterparts...general shits... Ahem...)

There will be regular coaches from the Union to Norton so you can offer your support on the day. Come for the 1pm KO for the women, or you can even watch the Men's firsts at 11am.

This is the BIG event in Sheffield University's Sporting calender - with banter and beer flowing all day, with Emily's legendary social skills no doubt giving us an edge over the likes of Hockey, and that sport with an egg shape ball...oh Rugby!

We must win this year, we are 6-4 down at the moment, so there is a lot at stake for Uni.
